I would also like to see some static or still shots of the future work.........to help make evaluating easier. In this first round, I had to assume that mechanics were flawless whereas actually viewing an actual design, we can see where a blob of glue is showing, or a wire left untaped, or a messy application of moss.
That would help tremendously in giving a more professional evaluation.
Now, to answer some questions.
Yes, you do have to achieve CFD before you achieve AIFD. However, the test is the same. The process is this......You complete one of 5 education pathways in order to let you take a comprehensive knowledge written test. I'll go into more detail about the education pathways later if asked. After you take the written exam, then if you score high enough, you go on to the PFDE ( Professional Floral Design Evaluation) which is the on-site designing. You'll design a sympathy tribute, an arrangement of some type, a corsage or wearing flower of some type, a wedding arrangement or bouquet of some type, and instead of designer's choice, you are given an arrangement to copy.
7 evaluators judge and mark those design, the high and low are tossed and the remaining five are averaged to get your score. TO earn CFD you should score cumulative no lower than 16 with a single design not scoreing less than 2.75 - However, if you score 20 points or more with no single design scoreing no less than 3.75 than you earn your CFD and are invited to join AIFD.
There some details that I skipped, I'll go into greater details if you all want to know, but that's the gist of it.
