Order Gatherer Websites

Finding a doorway page to my city tonite, and yes there is one to yours, I found this on their site
FlowerHand.com, a division of Regional Direct.com exists to provide you a state-of-the-art shopping experience and unparalleled service for purchasing flowers and gifts online.

How does it work? FlowerHand.com, an Albany, New York based e-commerce provider servicing the flower and gift industry, handles order processing, fulfillment and customer service, all backed by their 100% Satisfaction Guarantee.

FlowerHand.com is not a florist. We are an online service that allows you to conveniently, reliably and securely place an order for a specific location that is then routed to a select florist in the area.

whaddya think? At least they're upfront and honest about not being a florist?

Does that make it better? OK?

Looks like they're all Teleflora images...
Boy look at all this stuff at the bottom of the page

I have had a run in with this *&^%-head and after an email or two the ceased to respond...

Listings for every zip in the country I think...

I have sent it to TF, no response...but then again, I am not a member...

How about WorldFlorist.com or The Flower Grower

This one showing up for my town "local florist for you here in ####"
Every paragraph stating "We..." so I called the 888# and got a recorded message "The Flower Grower"
The site actually shows pictured BLUE roses.....dyed of course..and it also shows lots of discounted roses by the box.
Have we discussed this one?
www.worldflorist.net/United-States/Maine/Millinocket/Florist.html
is what comes up but on the google page it shows as florist-directory.net

While we're at it Just Flowers

Has sent me the same order twice in the past 20 minutes. I sent an ask message telling them to cancel the order as I will not fill for them and will not reject at my cost. Told them if they didn't cancel, I would ignore the order.
They cancelled, I confirmed.. They sent it back to me with Special Instructions: Do not forward to Millinocket Floral Shop!!
Duh....

They're currently running a national Google Adwords campaign targeting the keywords "location name" and "florists" with ads that read

"City Name Florist"
Same day delivery at no
charge from a local florist
www.url-here.com

The search engines seem to have finally caught on to the cloaked and redirected URL's they had out there so now they're paying for traffic.

and cloaked again

http://www.fm761.com/Maine/Millinocket/
This is the same as the florist-directory.net ...looks like our friends in India again with the discounts and the "blue" roses.
Sher, they were a "paid" side link on google search. They did show up as
a florist IN Millinocket
I have done 6 seperate searches between this afternoon and just now and found varying paid links but consistently showing at the top (paid links) is our friend Urbanflorist and to the right side paid links pwflowers, areaguide.coms and other uniquely named sites. It seems the "uniquely named" sites seem to go back to that blue rose site...

Is this an OG

I recently started getting a lot of orders via Teleflora from a shop called Flowers From You LLC in Old Saybrook CT. I was curioius so I did a little research. I found two websites. www.fromyouflowers.com On this site they do not give a physical address, only a PO Box. I also noticed that this site directs you to some kind of affiliate program website which is probably how they are generating so many orders. Then I also found this website on Telefloras "findaflorist" directory. http://www.florist-express.com/Feature.asp When you look at the Area's Covered info. They state that they cover the entire U.S. I would appreciate any feedback anyone else has on this company. Thanks Mike

I almost forgot. The affiliate program is something called LinkShare. After surfing thier site I found that 1800flowers is a member????

Fromyouflowers.com look here

Interesting that their Meta Words are Michigan and Lansing, also interesting is their second name server of CTFlowercompany.com...guys name is Mike Chapin..lansing is home to GrowerFlowers online presence even tho they are in Canada...

Their SSL cert is for usaflorist.com which is registered to Fromyouflowers.com and points to www.usaflorist.com an Ecommerece site but seems to be mostlytrying to establish affilliates...

HTH

This is one of ....

the WORST examples of OG's.....
I will PROBABLY BE DENYING ANY ORDERS not originating from a REAL FLORIST shop pretty shortly!!
DO NOT kid yourself.....we CANNOT CONTINUE to condone this bull@@@@...and we MUST put a stop to it!!
The ONLY WAY IS...IF the send shop has NO verified listing in the electronic/paper directory..they are TOAST!!

they are TOAST!!

Exactly what I am doing on my end...it's the only way to beging the shutdown of the VAMPIRE Machine....yes someone will be there to fill...but not my store, and once the others are TOAST (burnt out) it'll all work out in the long run and I plan to be here when it happens, and the first step to that is JUST SAY NO!

Rumor has it that they have purchased http://www.nationwideflorist.com/ (which just purchased http://www.coasttocoastflorist.com and http://www.coasttocoastflowers.com a month or so ago).

Also see information about them and their relationship to Proflowers.com here.

My memory is murky but I recall that someone in their family or company owned a big OG that was sold to FTD more than five years ago. I believe it was http://www.flowersusa.com/ . Sounds like they're gathering up another big bundle to sell off to FTD, too.

Buzz, Linkshare is just an affiliate referral link tracking service and is used by many, many companies.

The problem Mikey is some of these gatherers are cloaked and are florists but use different urls to collect the orders. The shop names (not the .com name) are the ones we need to avoid filling for them. Quite a few are not sending florists only (not easily identified by the za code suffix)
There are a couple that I found after Mother's Day who are legit but the same old order comes through (very 800flower & JustFlowerish)
