With Canadasflowers.com, they always fax their orders to me and they take the 20% off before they send the order. Then they give me their credit card number to charge the order through. Not wise people neither, they always list the customer town and I do a search on the internet and phone them on how deceptive they are and how much they gave me to work with. 99% of the time they ask me what to do. I tell them to cancel the order, tell them the recepient won't be home and take the order at 100% from them and now they are your customers. Usually with in 30 minutes I get a call saying the customer is not home to cancel the order and voila, it is all done.
I often tell the sender to wait to make sure the order is cancel before giving me their credit card information just to be on the safe side. Gives them a sense of satisfaction and security. Give them your toll free number and it is all done. I call it, sticking it to them just like they stick it to me.

I am also suprised at the number of folks in bellaire that know people in Snellville! I had weeks when I got 1 or 2 a day from the Kay's. I sent them a cease and decist via email for their use of a click on point under search engines that came up with Snellville Florist on them and they pulled them off. But, they are still somewhere, I can tell. Before I knew what they were (OG)I had real problems out of them as far as co-operation on any problems with an order, they would just cancel and try to screw me. I think they just were afraid I might get ahold of the sender and shed some light. I am still researching them....Would love more on them if avail.

Me too....in fact I had a long long talk with SBC about them just a couple days ago. Seems that SBC (the person I had in my office) was not really aware of how the OG system works...

She does now...and she took the www.floristdetective.com site back to the office with her to pass on to her supervisor....time will tell....

They also have a large ad in at least one of our local YP's - with a big FTD logo in the center of it - of course lacking the location-identifying info FTD says companies must place on ads using that trademark.

Three of these are owned by 'Kay's' but there are so many others it may not matter. I wonder why Yahoo/Bell South lists some of the OG's as being in Atlanta when the definitely aren't? :mad:

They handled that well...

I went to jodysflowersandgifts.com and noticed they renamed all of the FTD items they had on their site. I called the 1800 number and they said that it was a real florist so I asked for the number to the actual store. They gave me a phone number of a florist who said they were in no way affiliated with that web site. So I called back and when I asked them about it they hung up on me. So I then called the number for kaysflorist.com and got the same lady...who hung up on me again. Me thinks they are not a real florist and they are running their web site with FTD images but are obviously not FTD. It is kind of like Phillip running his sites with TF images when he is not a wire service florist at all.
 
Kay's Flowers is listed in the FTD Directory as a SENDING FLORIST ONLY...

Would the Jody's Flowers be the one in De Kalb TX ??

**Side note** SBC called back a little while ago, they are looking into my "Alligations"...(I'll bet)

As we all know, this violates FTD's image use rules...but then again, we all know there are no rules anymore as well...

I was surprised at how blatant they were at lying, saying they have a real store. I asked to speak to the owner but they said they were not in yet. I asked how they knew and she said because she just called. So when I asked for the number she then said they did not know what it was. That is when they hung up.
 
Nope...

I have spoken to the owner of the profile you made reference to. They DO NOT own or are even affiliated with jodysflowersandgifts.com or kaysflorist.com. Not sure how that got put together but Carla at Kelley's is a real florist.
 
Kelleys Flowers Inc. is a brick and mortar store that has been in the floral business for 23 years. We are a RETAIL florist!!!! just like you guys...
I am not affiliated with Kay's or Jody's in Bellaire even though I have a business located in that town as well. I would appreciate you not confusing me with them.

Hey cth - just FYI. The answering service for Kay's and Jody's are saying that those two and your store are all owned by the same person and that the woman on the phone was not sure why you are saying you are not affiliated with those web sites since they are all owned by the same people.

Also, your toll free number, as listed in the FTD computer, comes up disconnected.

Carla - you don't have family that owns Kay's, Jody's and Kelley's? The answering service that is picking up the phones for these web sites seem to believe that you are all family. Why would they be saying that if it were not true?

Awwwww Gregg...don;t be too hard on yourself...maybe they just got their "wires crossed"....

Kay's is a Nationally marketed order gathering site, and an FTD SFO...sending florist only...

Kelley's is a B&M store with all the FTD product and even the Value Priced Program...although they have renamed the images...and FTD nono....

I'm sure it was an honest mistake:rolleyes:

(BTW, I don't want to embarass him but many of the posters here may not know what terrific florists Rich and his partner are. Featured artist in PFD magazine during its heyday, AIFD past-president, international featured program presenters, Sweepstakes-winning headdress designers, etc... you get the idea. Great florists :) ) *don't killl me, guys*

Speaking of related sites, how is it that http://www.houstonflowersflorist.com/aboutus.htm shows an address of

which looks to be a ( house click here) owned by Buford's- yet the phone number in the graphic - 800-548-1049 - is the same as your shop's?

Do you believe it's honest to fib about a business address to gain orders?

One other thing...one of the phone numbers on the bottom of the 'about us' page from houstonflowersflorist.com is the same as the OG contact number on http://www.send-flowers-nationwide.com/contactus.htm .

I am curious how Kay Maingot, owner listed for Kay's, is also listed on the owner line, with Carla, for Kellys on the FTD merc TF search. Seems strange to have so many coincidental/accidental ties. Just wondering?????
