Hey, how about that new FTD President???

Did you vote for him?

I didn't - I voted Democrat.

Bloomzie, I voted for an independent.

The guys name was Mick E Mouse. FTD was always a bit of a joke, so I thought he was the best guy on the ballot.

Hmmm.... is it different?

Check this page for the current holiday, http://www.ftd.com/thanksgiving-11-27-ctg/occasion-thanksgiving/?noparent_bread=1it seems that 7 of 9 are drop ship.
Hmmmm. It feels like a previous snow job. It seems the new owner knows which side the butter is on.

Sad, I thought he spun a good line about the florists being a big part of the "New FTD".

Show me more.

Tired of the same old line,

Multiple burn victim,

Keith

It's live now, and all I see is the same old wine in a brand new bottle.

If you see the old site hit Ctl-F5 to refresh

Yeah it has a different "shell" and color scheme, but...I guess Fox will be the only one excited about this.....

I get 4 florists vs 14 Drop@@@@ on that page.

only thing they changed from yesterdays/todays pages is the red "Florist delivered" is now just as black as the other captions...same amount of florist delivered on the Christmas pages 7 items out of 2 pages.
Sad....

Notice this?

wasn't this what they sued Proflowers for claiming?

Is it just me or does the 'new FTD Black & Gold" look like web design circa 2001? Flat, static, cheap.
The consumer will not be confused between drop ship and florist delivered.
Sure - when he calls the drop-ship stuff 'fresh from the fields' but still shows arrangements in vases, they'll think both are delivering designed flowers but the florists are "less fresh" and cost a whole bunch more.

The category pages do display each drop-ship item with the text "Shipped Direct in a Gift Box"....

... and at least all the items for funeral services are florist delivered... but not all the ones to homes....

... and watch out for the "same-day delivery" stephanotis corsage...

...and FTD did add a whole lot more SEO way down below the fold. :>

the look to me is almost sterile, no life. Even the designs look different - bland.

In my opinion it looks horrific. Doesn't give off a good vibe to buy flowers.

It looks like my FTD Clearinhouse Statement.

No it's not just you, looks old fashioned to me too.

I guess this guy probably knows his shiznit about branding than tho.....

Not my color choices one bit, but it is distinctive.

Cathy:
black is "haute" coutoure......one of our high end jewelry stores uses all black boxes for their gifts....and black bags also.

Since I am in Steeler Country, the rest of Pittsburgh will think that FTD changed their website just to celebrate the success of the Steelers this year!

I guess it's still "Great to be FTD"......:boggles: I wouldn't know.....anymore.....

Maybe we should copy their advertising ploy ....

"Atkinson Flowers - Fresh from the fields to you" . I guess FTD decided it is so ambiguous that they would never have to defend it.

Rock on................................

What warm feeling Fox?

I don't recall having, or talking about any "warm feeling".

Are you hallucinating - again?

Should I apologize that I've figured out how to use them like the b*tch they are.....and you haven't?

Didn't you read the big text or is it a comprehension problem?:itchy:

It's all good.....

Rock on

Here's where they separate "Florist Designed" with "FTD Direct":

We killed the yellow

Over here the yellow and black was knocked on the head (I think about 2 years ago) and every member had to go for the new colour theme of aubergine and silver. Hope for my readers sake they aren't going to switch it back.

They've also introduced a checking system whereby the supplier (25% owned by IF) of sundries (codified products), will be feeding back the information of who has bought what so they can check members are carrying enough stock.
