Wedding Pictures

If anyone is bored, a lot of photographers have posted blogs on weddings we have done lately and take much better pics than my cell phone. So here are the links:

Crazy over the top pink wedding that I posted shots of recently with the huge cake. (The one where several checks got "lost in the mail") That shot with the droopy amaranthus leaf will haunt me forever. http://araujophotoblog.typepad.com/araujo_photography_weblog/2010/07/katie-and-sal.html

This one will go down as a favorite. It was a wedding last week and the entire wedding consisted of 10 people including the bride and groom. One of the shots show everyone in attendance. The still spent $1300 on flowers and the colors were gorgeous. The blog only really shows the bouquet, but it is my favorite I've ever made. Such a great and highly intimate ceremony! This one was my nightmare bride of the year. (This thread is private, right??) She was OCD about details, but gave me absolutely no guidance whatsoever. Her file was two inches thick of print outs and magazine photos of flowers she liked, but had absolutely nothing to do with what she wanted. Seriously all over the place- yet so specific! Gave me pics of some pastel romantic flowers, but ended up wanting bright colors, crazy flowers and lots of textures. I was so stressed about this wedding. So I emailed the photographer to see if she though the bride was happy with the bouquets. The photographer posted this blog (love her!) http://craigphotography.wordpress.com/2010/06/24/how-cute-is-this/

The bride called me the Monday after the wedding while catching a plane for her honeymoon and it turned into a 10 minute conversation and both of us were in tears. I don't know how it happened, but apparently we nailed exactly what she had envisioned. She couldn't believe it and honestly, neither could I. It was very, very stressful for me. I NEEDED that phone call! I won't say that the wedding was worth the stress and time in planning at all. But that phone call made my year!

Wow April, that pink wedding was amazing! loved the aisle decorations and everything else!! Only a florist would know the amaranthus was drooping.
I had to look through all of the kukacka photos - love pictures - but I gotta say I didn't like the bouquets in the Alissa & Tom wedding. If they were going for a just picked from the garden look, I think they spent too much time in the garden lol.
Glad your difficult bride was happy. Mine loved her flowers too. Why do we feel a greater sense of accomplishment pleasing difficult brides?

April... thanks so much for the pics! GORGEOUS. I agree with Jenifer that almost no one will notice the drooping amaranthus. I know the disappointment, though... I hate it when you get this gorgeous photo from the professional and there's a floral issue! I just did a wedding where the photographer took some gorgeous shots of the BACK of her bridal bouquet.

I just posted a few of my summer weddings on my facebook page... here is the link.

Chelsey Fox Bridal Bouquet.jpg This is a sneek peak at one of my favorites.... she was very ocd and had to have everything in even numbers in her bouquet. She loved it!

Enjoy... I have had fun making them and everyone was thrilled with their flowers!

Congratulations Sue! I love this wedding- the bridesmaid bouquets, the callas/ moss spheres- everything! I'm sure there is a story about the reception venue....
