We get the most amazing dahlias here! Don't kill me, but I paid 50 cents a stem for those dahlias... sometimes I can get them as low as 3/$1.

I did the personal flowers and 2 ceremony arrangements, and the bride ordered bulk flowers for DIY decor. She did a nice job with the centerpieces...


... but decorated the aisles with hydrangeas. With no water source. At 3pm on a sunny July afternoon. They were already wilting when I delivered 2 hours before the wedding.


I wish I had known her plan so I could have told her to use water tubes! I thought she was just doing the centerpieces... Oh well.

Here are some of the designs for a bridal show tomorrow. The wind was kind of blowing the feathers around when I took the pics so they aren't exactly staying put! I did the gyp bouquet because I have a bride in November who is doing all gyp bouquets for her attendants. I want her to smell it at the show!

Really nice Sandy, I have a bride next month that the centerpieces are all balls of babies breath in wine bottles. I tried to warn them about the smell too,but they want what they want. The bride and groom collected the bottles over the years and are attaching little notes on the special occasion of each empty bottle. My mind immediately jumps to so many inappropriate things.

We can try spraying with Febreeze, but eventually the gyp smell comes back....it's powerful!
