Wedding Pictures

This was for a very small wedding in the mob's garden. Used some fun stuff... cockscomb, thistle, petaled sunflowers, roses, poms, hydrangea, and hypericum. Very summery looking, definitely not your typical bride.

Not just blue green, electric blue!!! I was wondering how you did that!!!
Susan

I thought is was my computer, only happens with pics that you have posted. The thumbnails look normal, it is when I click on them to see them closer that they are electric blue. The funeral pics in the other thread are the same way. It's freaking me out.

Leaf wrap handle.jpg

Pink Calla Bout.jpg

DSCN4456.jpg

Really like the leaf wraps, although, the lily grass bouts take some time,
but look cool.
I love the aspidistra leaf on the bouquets and seems so do the brides,
but, they seem to be a bit more fragile and susceptible to tears from
the girls handling them.
Anybody have a trick to prevent this?

Just a couple from the last couple of weeks. I was not that keen on the aqua rose and hypericum berries but the bride loved it...

Had a go at the biedimier (sp) and made them into wands with long stems. I definately need more practice at these.

Photo Shoot

It is not Wedding Season in Australia until August, these are pics from a Photo Shoot for a mag.

Let me know what you think. Two are Artificial, one Fresh. We were meant to have two Fresh but the flowers for the other Fresh were horrible and we refused to use them.

Finally the all hot pink flower shots from my NY bride. Again the pics do no justice. These centerpieces were $900 a piece. Encouraging to me because they are still out there.

I do too. I never met with the bride originally. I met with her twin sister who gave me a clue as to what to do. She said Spring was a billionaire in Levi's. She got out Wall Street before the crash with a bundle to have a baby and get married. I am still scratching wondering if I should have charged more, you know NYC and all. A simple everyday centerpiece goes for $150. But I was happy. This one is still paying my bills.

One thing I was tickled about was the square light pink candles I made. They burned for 6 hours and the melt pot was only the size of a golfball.
I recommend making candles for events.

Oh... I have a $200.00 budget and have 5 bridesmaids... Got to love them.lol

If I were in Washington I would be hitting that Seattle Market no doubt. I hear there's money there. Hey if I can travel 6 hours for a wedding like this....

I am a trying... when they come from Seattle out to this area or so, they think we are cheaper then the florist in Seattle. I know my break is comming.... I can feel it.

I travel to Seattle two mornings a week to buy flowers. My philosophy is "have car can travel anywhere!":scooter:
