Wedding Pictures

My Niece was married in Indianapolis last weekend. It's three hours away, but did the flowers with help from family. Had a wonderful time - even with the stress of it all! I think my extended family has a little more respect for what we do and how much work is really involved.

How do you like the blue cake?

This is tomorrow's bride. I'm hoping to get some other pics after I set up at 9a.m. A beautiful woman wearing an antique silver dress and her maid of honor eggplant. Groom's daughter (age 7) is Jr. Bride and Groom's son is "ring bearer" (age 5). I saved my dusty miller plants for over a month and 1/2 by bringing them into a sheltered area (old flower shop area) to use them for this wedding.

I love watching all the photos get posted. I was wondering what are you seeing for 2010? how are your bookings? low end medium? high? Trends I am seeing for my new bookings CASCADES!! brides are wanting them!! I am booking quite a few so far. I also think one thing I have done here in the fall to get them to commit to me is lower my dep. I am doing $200.00 to book now (I was doing half down) then by the 6 month mark they need to put the remainder of the half.. I booked 6 this week with that! most are about 7-10 months out.
by Jan. I will be back at half down.. :squish:

I just got these photos from the photographer, this was a late August wedding. This bride's bouquet may be my favorite I've ever done! The crystals you see in the bride's bouquet were made by the bride. I loved this bride's style and willingness to be bold.

Todays Wedding Bouquets ( Dec. 5th)

The first cascading bouquet we have done in a while (pic#2), I hope they are not making a comeback!

You make beautiful cascades! Don't you like making them? I so much prefer making cascades, I learned making in foam holders back in the late 1980s, I can whip out a cascade so much faster and nicer than a handtied :) I'm SO happy they are making a comeback!!!

No! They remind me way too much of the eighties!:boggles:

I think hand tied bouquets are much easier and faster.

Oh well, I think the new gala bouquet holders that J designed are kind of cool, so I will have to try something different in a cascading style next time, rather than the same old eighties looking bouquet.:brandreco
