I am starting to see the photos from our last DC wedding several weeks ago on the photographers web site. He should be sending a complete file soon. Getting in with photographers is a great way to get digital photos for free.

Joan,

This reminded me of a wedding I did the end of March. The bride got married at Butchart Gardens. They only allow weddings there in the off season from late fall until the end of March. I was concerned when I heard she was having her pictures taken in the garden because March weather is very unpredictable. Anyway we ended up having a freak storm that day. It went from beautiful and sunny , to thunder , to winds exceeding 100 klms per hour, to snow, and then back to sun.
These pictures were taken half an hour apart. The bride took it all in stride and just changed from her wedding shoes to boots when it started to snow. The wind did damage her bouquet slightly even though it was glued into the holder. A few tulips did not stand up to the 100 klm winds. She had a fabulous time inspite of the weather and I'm sure it will give them plenty to talk about in the years to come.
I was very worried about the weather all day but apparently I was the only one that worried. The photographer said it was the most fun she has ever had at a wedding.

That is just awesome! Love the bouquet too!

Dianne,

How amazing for that bride!! I love the pics from sunshine to snow in one day!! Beautiful. Your bouquet is amazing and looks just as good in the warm sun as it does in the snow. She sure will have an amazing day to remember. I am glad she was able to go with the flow (and the snow)
